Leonie is not a fan of trading in her breeches and riding side-saddle to wear layers of skirts, petticoats, and dresses. She also refuses to ride on the side saddle and shoots the villains (despite it being a risky job). While Avon is a little discomfitted by her erratic ways at first, he soon realizes that he loves her.

I did find it a bit difficult to keep track of who was who in the beginning, because Heyer refers to the Duke by several different names in the first few pages. Once you have figured it out, the book becomes much easier to comprehend. This book was fantastic and I would highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed, whether you're a Georgette Heyer lover or simply enjoy a good romance!
